What is Pleny
Updated 13 Oct 2026
Pleny lets a medical travel facilitator in India receive fees from abroad without an international wire. The payer pays in their own currency by local bank transfer, and you receive rupees in your Indian current account, with a FIRA for each payment.

Who it’s for#
Facilitators registered in India who are paid from outside India, for example:
- referral and facilitation fees from hospitals, clinics and doctors abroad
- service fees paid by international patients
It handles your own fees only. We don't collect hospital or treatment bills on anyone's behalf.
What it does#
- Gives the payer local account details in their country, so they don't need a SWIFT transfer.
- Converts at the mid-market rate. Our fee is shown separately, not built into the rate.
- Shows where each payment is, from the payer's bank to yours.
- Records the purpose code and gets you a FIRA for every payment.
What it isn’t#
Pleny is not a bank and doesn't hold your money. Payments move through RBI-authorised payment partners, and the licence is theirs.
